Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, business name, and phone number when you request a demo or create an account. When you place an order through a Biteplat-hosted storefront, we collect order details, contact information, and a record of your acceptance of the storefront's Terms and Privacy Policy (timestamp and policy version). We also collect usage and device data automatically through cookies, analytics, and fraud-prevention tools.

2. Payment Card Information

Card payments on Biteplat-hosted storefronts are processed by Finix Payments, Inc. Card numbers, expiration dates, and CVV codes are tokenized directly in your browser by Finix's PCI-DSS compliant tokenizer and sent to Finix's servers — Biteplat never receives or stores raw card data. Finix may collect fraud-signal data (device fingerprint, IP, behavioral signals) on our behalf to authorize transactions and prevent fraud.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve our services, process transactions and refunds, communicate with you about your account or orders, send service-related notifications, respond to payment disputes and chargebacks, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with: (a) the restaurant whose storefront you ordered from, to fulfill your order; (b) Finix Payments, Inc., to authorize, settle, refund, and dispute card transactions; (c) service providers who help us operate the platform (email, SMS, hosting, analytics); and (d) government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law.

5. Data Retention

Order, payment, and consent records are retained for as long as required to fulfill orders, handle refunds and disputes, and comply with tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws (typically at least 7 years for transaction records).

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, tokenized payment handling, access controls, and regular security assessments to protect your information.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at privacy@biteplat.com. Note that we cannot delete records we are legally required to retain (such as completed transactions).
